Head Coach - Kevin Lawrence
Kevin Lawrence enters his tenth year at the helm of the Red Lion baseball program. Lawrence is no stranger to high school athletics. His first head coaching assignments were for the Susquehannock and Westminster Md. high school varsity girls basketball teams. He also served as the executive director and head coach of the Penn-mar Mavericks AAU program. More recently Lawrence enjoys serving as a PIAA boys basketball official. Lawrence is also the founder and head coach for a successful travel baseball program, The Tripletown Aces, which now includes fifteen teams ranging from 9U to 17U. Lawrence believes that player development is at the core of every program and leadership development is the key to a successful program. He has developed various programs that help train high school coaches and players in the skills needed to develop techniques that are essential to good leadership both on and off the field.
Varsity Assistant Coach - Tyler Taylor
Coach Taylor is entering his tenth year as a part of the Red Lion baseball coaching staff, and his sixth year at the varsity level. He is also an alumnus of the Red Lion baseball program, where he was a three year varsity starter. After graduating in 2010, Tyler moved on to play baseball for Lock Haven University at the collegiate level. He has also played in the local Susquehanna league for the past decade, earning all-star honors. Aside from baseball, Taylor serves as a health and physical education teacher at Locust Grove Elementary School in the Red Lion Area School District. In his free time he enjoys hunting and spending time with his wife Emily.
Varsity Assistant Coach - Brandon White
Coach White is entering his fourth year as a part of the Red Lion baseball coaching staff. He is an alumnus of the Dallastown baseball program where he was a three-year varsity starter. After graduating in 2016, Brandon went on to play baseball for Millersville University and then in 2018 transferred to York College where he finished his playing career. During his collegiate years, White played two seasons in the Cal Ripken Collegiate League. Brandon is a health and physical education teacher at York Suburban Middle School, he enjoys golfing In his free time.
Varsity Assistant Coach - Steve Bowman
Coach Bowman is now serving in his fifth year as a Red Lion Baseball assistant coach. Bowman is a 1999 graduate of Central York where he played varsity football, basketball, and baseball. He coached junior high football and served as a coach in youth through varsity level football, basketball and baseball since he was 18. Bowman is married to his wife Nikki. They have three sons - Dominik, 27 who is in the Air Force, Cameron, 26 who resides in Red Lion, and Steven, Jr who is in 12th grade. Bowman owns his own HVAC company, Bo Mechanical, which provides top quality HVAC service and installation. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family as well as hunting and fishing.
Junior Varsity Coach - Glenn Dietrich
Coach Dietrich will be starting his second year as the Head JV Coach for Red Lion. Coach Dietrich is a proud alumni of Red Lion High School of the class of 2012 and is currently a social studies teacher at the High School. Coach was a 1st team all county his senior year for the Lions and played college baseball at Lebanon Valley College. He is currently a member of the Jacobus Jackals of the Susquehanna Men's League. You will commonly find Coach Dietrich's family (Wife, Kelly, Son, Leo, and Daughter, Luna) attending games to root on the Lions!
Junior Varsity Assistant Coach - Scott Cobb
Scott Cobb is entering his second year as part of the Red Lion baseball coaching staff. He has coached 2 years at the Varsity level at York Suburban High School and 7 years at the JV level also at York Suburban High School. He has also coached a Tripletown Aces team for 4 years. He has played baseball in the Susquehanna League off and on for about 15 years. He has played alongside some really good baseball players in those years. When not on a baseball field he works for York Suburban High School in Information technology. He enjoys camping with his family in his spare time.
Junior Varsity Assistant Coach - Brendon Delridge
Brendon Delridge is entering his first year as a part of the Red Lion Baseball coaching staff. He is an alumnus of the York Suburban baseball program where he was a two-year varsity starter. After graduating in 2016, Brendon went on to play collegiate baseball for Penn State York where he was awarded PSUAC Pitcher of the Year and First Team All-Conference in 2019 and 2021. He also currently plays in the local Susquehanna League. Outside of baseball, Brendon works as a Business Development Specialist for a software company, and enjoys spending time with his wife and playing golf.
Junior Varsity Assistant Coach -Evan Tanner
Coach Tanner is an alumni of York Catholic High School 2018. He played baseball from 2018-2023 at Penn State York
Coach Tanner comes to us after coaching 1 year for the Varsity baseball team at West York area high school. In his free time he likes to golf, spend time with his family and dog. He also plays in the Susquehanna league for the Jacobus Jackals.
